2016 Honda Civic review
Honda Civic review 2016. To say that the new generation of the Honda Civic has changed a lot – to say nothing. This is a completely different car, which has become more powerful and smarter. Interior is now also completely different. The instrument panel has become fully electronic with nice graphics, and the center console is decorated with a new display with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which displays the image from the rear view camera and camera viewing blind zone in the right mirror. The camera turns on automatically when you turn on the right indicator, and it can be activated by a separate button on the left-hand stalk switch that is useful when parallel parking.
Starting from the second configuration, the Civic is equipped with a 180-watt audio system with 8-D speakers. In the maximum version of the Touring, the car boasts an advanced audio system, power as much as 450 watts and a 10-speaker, including the subwoofer. In the tenth generation Civic you can meet two engines. One atmospheric, the volume of 2.0 liters and power of 158 hp and the other turbocharged, 1.5-liter, issuing 174 horses.
Sport mode sharpens the response to the gas pedal and raises the speed somewhere in a thousand and a half. The motor sound is also nice, thanks largely bifurcated exhaust that is also found for the first time on a civil Honda Civic. Noises begin to appear after 80 km / h, but even at the speed of 120 km / h, it is possible to talk without raising voice. The brakes are good, pedal allows precise dosing of effort.
In total there are 7 options. They are called DX, LX, and LX-Honda Sensing, EX, EX-Honda Sensing, EX-T and Touring. Two of them differ only in the addition of Honda Sensing Package, which includes auxiliary systems, such as the band control, blind spots, coupled with a side camera, automatic braking system and adaptive cruise control that works well at low speeds.
The initial DX includes electric windows on all doors, the music at 160 watts with bluetooth and USB, and non-alternative manual six-speed gearbox. The following configuration LX adds climate control, heated seats, a rearview camera, a folding rear seat backrest 60/40, 7-inch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, music at 180 watts and painted mirrors in body color. From this level, you can order the CVT.
In version EX buyers will get dual-zone climate, with the launch of a button, alloy wheels 16 and electric sunroof. EX-T version features by turbocharged engine, and default includes Honda Sensing package. In addition, there are 17-wheels, fog lights and a rear spoiler. The maximum performance Touring adds wireless charging for mobile phones, leather upholstery, power front seats, heated rear seats, music at 450 watts, 17-wheels of another design, rain sensor, LED headlamps and indicators in the mirrors. Also there are thicker stabilizer bars.
