The Honda’s top brass arrived at a decision of pleasing its in-house fan community with releasing some updates for the 2016 Honda Accord Sedan. The redesign touched the entire modification row, including LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L V-6, and the superior Touring. The models sport absolutely new refined styling both in the rear and front parts. The upper front section got the new powerful LED fog lights that allow avoiding low visibility in some situations. Making a bold statement, the taillights can boast fresh elegant design.
The Touring package was empowered by the parking sensors, mounted at the back, and beeping in case you are going to “kiss” another car or even an object while doing your parking. Another improvement for this configuration took a shape of rain-sensing windshield wipers, which adjust the speed of screen cleaning depending on the rainfall rate in automated mode.
The entire line-up got updated accents and final touches from the sphere of breaking-though technologies. We talk about the dual-zone climate control that runs automatically, leather-trimmed seats offering luxurious look and feel, engine start/stop button, and the driver seat with memory system adjusting in 10 various directions.
The infotainment system obtained an Apple CarPlay wrapping that allows accessing some of the iPhone options via the screen on the dashboard. To keep the driver’s attention tight on the road, the company’s engineers added the speed-sensitive volume control system into the interactive interface. It adjusts the music volume depending on the noise on the road.
Keeping track on all comfort options, the manufacturers upgraded the rear seat with the 60-40 fold technology. Thus, the happy Accord’s owners can transport long cargos without hiring shipping company. Moreover, the new models will offer moonroof tilting in one touch, remote engine start, and heated rear seats.
The safety of the sedan was increased by means of implementing the rearview camera with multi-angle function, body structure produced by the partners ACE, system that monitors pressure in tires, and RDM option (road departure mitigation). The last provides the increased safety thanks for notifying the driver in case he or she is going to jump off the road.
